Pamela Jendia is the Health Pooled Fund (HPF) Field Operations Manager based in Juba, South Sudan. She has over 9 years’ experience in health service delivery starting as an Assistant Medical Coordinator with MSF – Suisse, and later joined GOAL South Sudan where she served at different capacities of Training Officer, Health Supervisor and later as Assistant Country Health Coordinator. In HPF, Pamela played the role of Project coordinator for 2 years before moving in to her current role since April 2018

Pamela’s specialisation lies in the delivery of public health services both in developmental and complex emergency settings, capacity building, needs assessments, programme planning, and Monitoring and Evaluation including grant management. Her particular interests are health service management and administration, research and epidemiological studies.

Pamela’s technical expertise is supported by a Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration from Uganda Christian University and Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health gained from Mbale School of Clinical Medicine -College in Uganda.

Robert is a finance profession with 10 years’ experience with a demonstrated history of working in the NGO sector. Skilled in financial and resource management, including but not limited to accounting, compliance, staff management, financial analysis and financial reporting & control. Proven ability to communicate effectively, plan, coordinate, take initiative and resolve problems.

Robert has the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. He is detail oriented and has a knack of grasping new concepts quickly and efficiently.

He is very passionate about soccer and undoubtedly supports the greatest soccer team on earth ‘LIVERPOOL FC’

Dr David Wasambla, the HSSD Manager is a highly motivated, self-driven and results oriented public health professional with a passion for humanitarian work, capacity building and team motivation.

David has 15 years’ experience as a leader in the health sector in diverse areas: government, private, multinational corporation, INGO and humanitarian. My experience as a humanitarian spans over several years having responded to the Ebola outbreak in Liberia and Sierra Leone (2014- 2017); cholera outbreaks (2005, 2006 and 2017); the internally displaced in Kenya due to the post-election violence (2008).

David has been instrumental in the development and roll out of several public health policies and programmes in various thematic areas such as malaria, TB, HIV and Ebola among others. The most recent national guidelines he developed being South Sudan’s (with WHO and Ministry of Health)

Sila Wani is a medical/public health professional with more than fourteen (14) years of progressive experience in integrated emergency and development health programs design and implementation. He further has experience in technical leadership and management at both operational and strategic level with diverse knowledge in managing human resources, finance, and administrative systems.

Wani has broad knowledge of South Sudan health system having worked in different parts of the country with numerous development and humanitarian health partners of Ministry of Health, including; Medicines Sans Frontières (MSF Swiss), International Medical Corps (IMC), Malaria Consortium, American Refugee Committee (Alight) and Cordaid. He has successfully implemented health programs funded by different donors including OFDA, BPRM, DfID, Gov. of Canada, SIDA and USAID.

Wani has a proven track record of successes in implementing primary health care programs, integrated community level interventions, hospital interventions, emergency preparedness and response for communicable diseases including Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) and training programs.

Currently, he is the Deputy HSSD Manager/WASH and IPC Specialist for HPF South Sudan.

Susan is a committed and hardworking M&E professional who values the principles of timeliness, accuracy and reliability of information. She has the passion to monitor and evaluate health programmes in the most challenging and ever-changing context in the Republic of South Sudan. Susan has over 10 years’ experience working in the health sector, first in the hospital environment and later on in both government and non-governmental organisations.

She has experience working for health organisations and donor institutions including World Bank, United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Department for International Development (DFID). This enabled her interact closely with diverse stakeholders in different forums, and particularly with the Ministry of Health at all levels.  She was involved in rolling out of health programmes from design to implementation and up to monitoring & evaluation.

Her expertise in monitoring of public health systems was extensively developed when she became engaged in the implementation and monitoring of health Services Delivery across South Sudan States and Counties. She also participated in undertaking several periodic National Surveys such as Lot Quality Assurance Sampling (LQAS) and Health Facility Assessment (HFA) to assess health outcomes.

Dr Lutwama is a senior public health and health system specialist with over 20 years’ experience in programme planning, management, development of policies and standards. He has extensive experience in international development cooperation in both research and management. He has significant knowledge and experience with mixed research methodologies, as well as designing, implementing and managing field research in challenging environments. Dr Lutwama has provided management and technical assistance to public health programmes in East and Southern African countries. He has significant experience working with government ministries and donors including but not limited to World Bank, the Global Fund, DFID, Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, OFDA/USAID, and United Nations.

Sean arrived in South Sudan in March 2017 as the Deputy Warehouse Manager and the lead on the Consignment 3 pick and pack distribution to Upper Nile and Jonglei.  In September 2017 he moved up to Warehouse Manager being part of a very successful distribution team that has delivered to the 8 former states now on numerous occasions.  His previous experience and knowledge from working in the logistic industry for 5 years in Afghanistan and Iraq has been integral in the role for HPF program.

An extraordinary leader with an analytical mind, who has transitioned from a very successful career in the military to the Security/Logistic industry. Calm under pressure with superior time management and communication skills with 8 years’ experience in a predominately logistic role within the commercial sector. He is a reliable team member who is committed to providing a professional service.

A keen sportsman, who at 52 can still be seen kicking a football around in the heat of the South Sudan sun!!
